Tyrannosaurus Rex Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the biggest meat eating dinosaurs. It ate other dinosaurs for lunch. It was taller than three men standing on each other's shoulders. Its teeth were 6 inches long and it could crush large bones when it ate. The Tyrannosaurus rex in this picture can be seen at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. It was used for the original scientific description and anyone who thinks they have found a new Tyrannosaurus fossil must compare it to this one. This is known as a type specimen. | ||||
